Tapes to
Oil
John Bordynuik Inc., is the world's premier data recovery
firm.
There are millions of legacy 7-track and 9-track data tapes in
storage by organizations around the globe because they hold
valuable information, but are not readable. Many times these tapes
are not readable due to the environment they were stored in, or
simply their age. Most companies are resistant to disposing of
these tapes because they hold such important data relevant to the
organization.
John Bordynuik of John Bordynuik Inc., has developed a hardware
and software solution to this problem, and as a result is able to
recover the data on these tapes. They are currently sole sourced by
NASA, and MIT, to recover all their legacy tape data. Once these
tapes are read, and the data is supplied to the customer and
verified as good, the tapes are to be destroyed. This is where
Plastic2Oil comes in. We will take these tapes and run them through
our process turning them into oil.
